It was a windy yet gorgeous day in Point Loma at the Southwestern Yacht Club for John Bryant and Tori Haggerty‘s wedding. I met Tori a few months ago through my friend Dennis and we immediately clicked when we started discussing the details of her wedding. The ceremony was beautiful and featured a guitarist and a vocalist along with a sand ceremony with John and Tori which was perfectly photographed by Heather Elise Photography. The ceremony was performed by Colette Humphrey and the ceremony was coordinated by Melisa McCloskey. After cocktail hour concluded, it was time for the grand introduction. The flower girls and ring bearer were introduced, followed by the bridesmaids and groomsmen and the newly-married couple Mr. & Mrs. John Bryant. After a blessing from Tori’s uncle Blake, dinner was served followed by toasts and a sing-a-long led by Tori’s sister Taylor to “What A Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong. John and Tori then shared their first dance to “I’d Love To Be Your Last” by Clay Walker followed by Tori’s dance with her father Joe to “My Little Girl” by Tim McGraw and John’s dance with his mother to “I Hope You Dance” by Leanne Womack. After dinner, it was officially time to open the dance floor. I mixed a variety of Classic Rock, 70’s, 80’s and even a line dance to keep the dance floor moving. After cake cutting, bouquet toss and garter, it was time to re-open the dance floor. I started out with some 90’s Hip Hop and made my way into current chart-toppers from artists such as Jason Derulo, Katy Perry, LMFAO, Pitbull and Ke$ha. The night ended with John and Tori in the middle of the dance floor with all of their friends and family surrounding them partying one last time with them. I had an amazing time being a part of John and Tori’s special day and I wish the both of them all of the happiness and love in the world! Please enjoy all of the wonderful photos below as well as the special highlight video I prepared for Mr. & Mrs. Bryant! Congratulations!
I had the pleasure of DJing the wedding of Jonny & Eleni Blair on Saturday, June 25th at Casa del Prado, Patio B in Balboa Park. What a beautiful day for a wedding and as their guests came in, you could tell they were all ready to party. Jonny and Eleni danced to “Just The Two Of Us” by Grover Washington & Bill Withers for their first dance. Later, Eleni danced with her father to a traditional Greek song followed by Jonny dancing with his mother for “Do You Realize” by The Flaming Lips. The newlyweds then invited up Eleni’s mom and Jonny’s dad to dance with them to “I’ll Be There” by the Jackson 5. Next up were toasts, money dance, bouquet and garter and cake cutting. Most of Eleni’s family was from Greece so a lot of Greek music was played throughout the reception. I also managed to get in a few oldies as well as some Merengue for Jonny’s mom. It was a beautiful wedding on a beautiful evening with a beautiful couple. Congratulations, Jonny and Eleni and thank you for letting me be a part of your special day! 🙂
You are a great DJ and you made this event very special for my son. Thank you for being part of this special day for our family. Everyone loved the atmosphere which was set by your skill in the music. God bless.
What a wonderful way to spend my Saturday night! I had the opportunity to DJ for the 40th Anniversary of Balboa Travel Management which was held at the Prado in Balboa Park. This event was a collaboration between J. Soul Productions and our good friend Jerry Beck of Beck’s Entertainment and we provided the lighting and sound as well as a monogram on the dance floor. The party was so much fun and I have to thank the wonderful Denise Jackson(President of Balboa Travel Management), Skip Bath, Jill Valentine and the guests of honor Chairman Joe da Rosa and Vice Chair Mary Alice Gonsalves. I would be honored to travel anywhere Balboa Travel flies me to to DJ/MC the next special occasion. 🙂
We had a wonderful celebration and you made it incredibly special. You certainly have the “Midas” touch and we all took notice. We have decided to adopt you officially into the Balboa family!
Marly does quite a few fundraisers in town and she mentioned that she will be calling you in the future to assist, along with Balboa of course :).
Thanks for everything and we will send some photos soon. Have a great trip home to Texas and we look forward to working together again soon.
Denise Jackson, President
Thank you! Your professionalism and fun were just what we needed to round out our evening… and I’m pretty sure I saw you out there giving dancing lessons – that’s above and beyond the call of duty!! Thank You!!
The staff at J. Soul Productions had the honor of exhibiting at our very first Bridal Bazaar at the San Diego Convention Center this past Sunday. Our booth was located near the stage where the fashion show was being held throughout the day and our booth was staffed by Owners/DJs J. Soul and Matt Kriegsfeld and DJ/MC/Dancers DJ Dev and Chris Tyre. The booth showcased footage of past wedding celebrations we’ve been a part of on a 42″ plasma screen, our back curtain was up-lit with baby blue LED ambient up lighting and J. Soul was mixing live music and videos for the guests of the event. DJ Dev and Chris not only talked to hundreds of brides and grooms about what J. Soul Productions could do to enhance their special day, but they SHOWED them what sets us apart from other DJ companies. The guests as well as the other vendors near us enjoyed watching DJ Dev and Chris entertain them with their electric personalities and amazing dance skills (see video below). The event was a screaming success full of fun, energy and interactivity which is the J. Soul Productions trademark!

For the second year in a row, I had the pleasure of being the DJ and MC at the Holiday party for the Appraiserloft. It was held this year at the US Grant Hotel downtown in the Celestial ball room complete with casino tables spread all around the room and plush lounge furniture through out. I provided pink and purple up-lighting around the room as well as a custom monogram and dance floor lighting. The dancing began after a welcome from the CEO Aman Makkar and a lot of dancing was definitely done. The music I played consisted of Electro, Hip Hop, R&B, New Jack, 80’s, 90’s, Latin and House. The crowd was very diverse so I tailored my mixing to fit the crowd. The event ended up going until 1am and the floor was packed from 9pm until the lights came on. My thanks go out to Melissa and Aman for having me back for a second year in a row and I’m looking forward to returning next year! 🙂
